The Federal Depository Library Program

This library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the Government documents collection is guaranteed by public law. (Title 44 United States Code).

In addition, the Carnegie Library branch of the Jackson District Library is the Michigan Legal Help Self-Help Center of Jackson County. Residents from any nearby county are welcome to come use the computers to access the tools and resources on MichiganLegalHelp.org. In addition to the website, self-help center staff (called "navigators") will be available to help visitors find what they need on the website, answer questions about court practices and processes, and answer simple questions about forms available on the website. Navigators cannot give legal advice.
