SIGN UP FOR A LIBRARY CARD
If you live, work, or attend school in Jackson County, you are eligible for a Jackson District Library Card. To sign up for a JDL Card, please fill out the form below with your personal information and a valid Michigan Driver's License or Michigan State ID card number.
For those without a valid State ID, those who work or attend school in Jackson County but do not live in it, or for those who attempt to sign up with the form below and are denied, please visit a JDL location and supply a photo ID and documentation that shows you work or go to school in the county to receive a card. A library card is free for all Jackson County residents and for individuals who work or go to school in Jackson County.
For people who do not live, work, or go to school in Jackson County, an annual subscription costs $75.00. Non-residents may also purchase a 6-month membership card for $40.00.. A single piece of photo identification showing your current name and address is required.
A pin number is a 4-digit number used to login to your library card account online. For those who receive a library card through the online form on this page, your PIN is your birth year. If you do not remember your PIN number we can look it up for you.
Report the card lost immediately. You are responsible for any materials checked out on your card until you have reported it lost or stolen.
A Jackson District Library card is required to check out materials from the Jackson District Library or from the Jackson College Library. If you sign up online and receive a card number and PIN, you can access online tools and databases without a physical card. If you ever want a physical card, you can visit any JDL location to receive one.
