StoryWalk® at Summit

Join us at the Summit Branch!

Promote reading and wellness in a fun new way with a story walk!

A story walk uses a laminated, deconstructed picture book, mounted onto poles and placed in an outdoor area where visitors stroll and read.

This month’s book is Feathers For Lunch by Lois Ehlert. Image result for feathers for lunch

Please call the Summit Branch at (517) 783-4030 for more information. The event takes place during Branch’s open hours.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service owned by Mrs. Ferguson. This resource is supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Library of Michigan.

This is also a Braille Enhanced StoryWalk®.

Duelin’ Basses

Join us at the Summit Branch on Friday, September 14 or the Henrietta Branch on Friday, October 5, both events at 6 p.m.

Everyone knows the king of musical instruments is the double bass. At least, that is the opinion of bassists Jerry Jacoby and Mark Mathias. Let them prove it to you with musical gems from Back to Tin Pan Alley.

One of these guys is a bass virtuoso and the other is a nut. You decide which is which!

Please call the Summit Branch at (517) 783-4030 or the Henrietta Branch at (517) 769-6537 for more information!

All ages welcome.

Presented by Jerry Jacoby & Mark Mathias
