Mental Health 101 – Stress and Coping Skills

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, several branches will be hosting a Lifeways certified mental health instruct for a one-hour class. This presentation will help build an understanding of the importance of early intervention as well as ways to respond to a person experiencing a mental health crisis or challenge.

Boating Safety

Learn the rules of the water and other helpful safety tips for boat owners, non-owners, and operators of Personal Water Craft (PWC) such as jet skis and Paddlecraft (canoes, kayaks, and rafts).

Taught by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the class includes topics on: operating your boat, PWC, or Paddlecraft safely; trailering your boat; life jackets; boating emergencies; boating laws and regulations; and water skiing.

Passing the test as the end of the class will result in your obtaining the Michigan DNR Boater Education Card, required for all PWC operators born after 1978 and boat operators born after June 1996.

This is an all day class and there will be a half hour break for lunch. Please bring a bag lunch.
