Bid Opportunities

NOTICE TO BIDDERS 

Notice is hereby given that the Jackson District Library in Jackson, Michigan is requesting sealed bids from interested firms for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation necessary for the expansion and remodel of the Brooklyn Branch Library  located at 207 N. Main St, Brooklyn, Michigan. The Brooklyn Branch is currently 2,330 SF and the project includes fully renovating that existing space along with an addition of 2,455 SF with additional sitework and parking.

The submitted bid package will be received until July 20, 2020 at 12:00 PM noon  (prevailing local time).

Bids shall be delivered to: – Jackson District Library Admin Building – 290 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49201  – Attn Diane Anderson

Public Bid Opening – Bid packages will be opened in public at 1:00 July 20th @ 1pm. – The bid opening will be at the Meijer Branch Library, 2699 Airport Rd. Jackson, MI 49202

All bid packages received after the above time shall be returned unopened.

All work shall be in accordance with plans, specifications, and intent prepared by krM Architecture+, 

Interested parties may acquire plans and specifications in the following methods:

1 – As a free electronic download in the form of a PDF from Eastern Engineering. Contact Eastern Engineering to become a registered plan holder to receive the no-cost download.

2 – As printed plans and specifications through Eastern Engineering. The bidder is responsible for the cost of the printing.

 A five percent (5%) bid security in the form of an acceptable bid bond or certified check shall be submitted with all bids. Bonds shall be payable to the Jackson District Library.

Each bidder will be required to comply with all applicable equal employment opportunity laws and regulations of the United States of America and the State of Michigan. 

A pre-bid meeting will be held July 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Brooklyn Branch Library. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.      

All bids shall be executed on the bid form which is included in the specification manual.
