Community Art Contest

Let’s celebrate Jackson’s creative community! Jackson District Library asked Jackson County artists of all ages to create art around the theme of Pages to Projects: Art Inspired by Books. We asked them to paint a picture, make a sculpture, take a photo, craft a quilt, and more. We asked them to be inspired by the written word.

Join us in downtown Jackson businesses and organizations to vote for your favorite art pieces. Three winners will be awarded prizes based on the community’s votes on Saturday, September 17.  Stop into the following organizations to vote for your favorite art piece: JDL’s Carnegie Library, A Frame Above, Anderson Printing, Beads to Live By, Casler’s Hardware, Collins Brothers, Experience Jackson/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, JTV, Miller Shoe Parlor, Nostalgia Ink, Notch 8, The Orange Peacock Gallery, The Toy House, Walt’s Health Foods and Specialty, The Wandering Owl, YNCA, The Book Exchange and Center for Family Health.
