JXN Community Forum: Aging in the Community

The March Forum will focus on two innovative concepts:
the Virtual Volunteer Village Movement and PACE, a Medicare/Medicaid program that helps people meet their health care needs in the community instead of a nursing home or other facility.

On the panel to review current services available in Jackson, speakers include:

  • Jade Clark, Marketing Coordinator, Thome PACE Jackson
  • Mackenzie Pfeiffer, MA, LLPC, Chelsea Community Senior Services Coordinator, Chelsea Senior Services Coordinator, a Volunteer Village
  • Danielle Leithauser, JDL on outreach to homebound seniors via 5 grants to Library
  • Jennifer Guthrie, LMSW In-Home Services Coordinator, Jackson County Dept. on Aging on currently available local services for Seniors

The JXN Community Forums are free and open programs to facilitate dialogue about challenging issues of our day. The forums are co-sponsored by The League of Women Voters and the Jackson District Library.
