The Great Michigan Read aims to connect us as Michiganders by deepening our understanding of our state, our society, and our humanity.

 

KKK in Mid-Michigan

Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Michael Placco, of Macomb Community College, will discuss the origins, impact, and history of the KKK in Mid-Michigan. This lecture is intended to give historical context to Malcolm X’s life in Mid-Michigan. Intended for teens and adults.
