Join us at the Carnegie Library for a presentation on the importance of bees and pollination in Michigan, presented by Megan Milbrath – Director of the Michigan Pollinator Initiative. This event is free and open to the public.
The Michigan Pollinator Initiative was formed by MSU Ag Bio Research and MSU Extension to address current and future issues related to bees, other pollinators, and pollination in Michigan. The mission of the Michigan Pollinator Initiative is to develop a coordinated research, education, extension, and policy driven effort to address priority issues related to pollinators and pollination. Primary focus areas are pollinator health, forage for honey bees and wild bees, pesticide use best practices, Information delivery for beekeepers and growers, and pollinator-related education. This event is co-sponsored by the Jackson Sierra Club and Jackson District Library.
